About

I’m an international award-winning Design Director / Art Director from New Zealand, currently based in Canada.

With over 13 years’ experience working in design, my work covers brand design, conceptual editorial design, advertising art direction, and everything that falls within.

That might be a lot of things, but whether it's for waste management giants, a postpartum support house, stuffed-crust pizza, or a city of 1.5 million, I bring the same relentless hunt for the big idea and an emotional intelligence that leaves even the most complex subjects simple and full of feeling.

Creative direction and project/account management, concept, creation of motion graphics, storyboarding, filming, technical production, and editing.

About

Myself and creative partner Jeshua Sharkey were briefed to create a promotional video for Curated Platform — a conference and exhibition of suppliers to the architectural and interior design industries in New Zealand. Our solution sought to dive between 2D and 3D space, dynamically, based on the concept of an interior space being defined by what fills it rather than it's on-paper specs and dimensions.

With an absolute hairstring budget, over the course of some very late nights when the parkade was empty, Jeshua and I painted the screens, arranged the projectors, and filmed this one-take shot with a cinema camera strapped to the hood of my 1998 Toyota Levin.
